What is it? Sitting on 1,400 acres in the lovely foothills of Western NC in Polk County, the facility welcomes the experienced equestrian as well as those new to the sport of equine competition. Tryon International Equestrian Center is one of the world’s ultimate equestrian lifestyle destinations with first-class facilities for all FEI disciplines and showcasing hunter/jumper, equitation, steeplechase, fox hunting, polo, reining and multidiscipline events. From carousel to competition, the mission of Tryon Resort is to celebrate the magic of the horse, grow equestrian sport, and increase access to this majestic animal. A haven for equestrian competitors and enthusiasts, Tryon International Equestrian Center hosts hunter/jumper horse shows in the spring, summer and fall. TIEC also hosts dressage horse shows as well as eventing horse shows.

Open every week, 50s-inspired Roger’s Diner offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a menu of classic and southern favorites like burgers, patty melts, grits and milkshakes along with breakfast all day. Legends Grille serves dishes that are prepared using the freshest ingredients and presented with casual elegance. Get your sushi fix year-round at Blue Ginger Sushi & Noodles where the freshest seafood and locally sourced ingredients are handcrafted into edible works of art. During competition weeks, try Campagna Italian, Mane St. Coffee, Clear Rounds Pub, Siesta Cantina, and the Silo Bar.

What about kids? Their Saturday Night Lights events are also great for children and feature activities such as face painting, circus performers, dance contests, t-shirt tosses, free rides on the Venetian carousel and live bands! They offer a variety of kid-friendly dining options and shops as well.
